My Old Sacramento offices are located in California Historic Landmark #604, the Brannan House, on the same Gold Rush era preserved block where the western terminus of the Pony Express linked this staging city for the gold fields of the Wild West to all points eastward to St. Joseph, Missouri. My office is across J Street from the old Daily Union newspaper offices where Mark Twain was a reporter.

I also reside in Shasta County and can travel to meet select clients at their preferred California locations.
Working solo, as I now do, allows me to offer more personal care and complete focus on the details of each of my clients cases. I find this total case immersion so much more effective than working in the usual law firm assembly line crew of clerks, paralegals, secretaries and junior associates who can't help but keep the client and important parts of the case at a disadvantageous distance from their lawyer.
My clients are able to call me anytime and frequently reach me immediately.
Another nice thing about working solo is the lower overhead costs that allow me to spend more time on fewer cases. This lets me take the quality kind of cases that merit my undivided attention. I end up working exclusively on matters I strongly believe in and most enjoy working on. And my clients benefit by the personal handling their cases deserve. They know that the experienced attorney of their choosing is the one handling each and every aspect of their case. Not some semi-trained backroom clerk or junior associate like those which most law firms rely on to do the bulk of the work on your case.
The last thing a client wants to deal with during the potential stressors of resolving a legal case is some stranger from the firm of the lawyer they thought they hired telling them that they have been assigned at the last minute to be their lawyer at a hearing. Or to have some unfamiliar clerk assigned to ask and answer intimate and crucial questions with little regard to what details the client has already told someone else in the firm.
I think you should choose my services if you feel your California Personal Injury case deserves the highest possible amount of experienced lawyer-hours spent on it and the highest degree of accountibility and care in pursuing your stated goals. If you are going to be paying the same fee to whomever represents you, I hope you are able to select the quality and commitment to client satisfaction that I offer.
CONTINGENCY FEES
I am paid only after I get a recovery for you. If the case is settled, I then get 33% of whatever total recovery I get the other side to pay before trial.
Oherwise I get 40% of any recovery I produce after trial or if it is less than 90 days before the trial or final arbitration.
In the highly unlikely case we were to get nothing for you, my fee would be 33% of nothing, or zero. So we are both highly motivated to obtain the best results for your case.
COSTS
Besides the above fee for my labor, I get reimbursed later for whatever costs I have spent on your behalf, which I will keep receipts for. Some examples are the costs I pay to get copies of your medical records or the costs paid for for a deposition reporter. So paying fees + costs is similar to paying a mechanic for labor + parts.
You will find that, despite my extra personal attention and unique background and experience I bring my clients, my fee rates and cost reimbursement are comparable to those most commonly found among personal injury lawyers throughout California.
